At A&A Contracting, our journey in the roofing industry is deeply rooted in a commitment to quality and trust. It all began over 30 years ago when Grandpa Mattern recognized a significant need for reliable and reputable roofing contractors in Central Pennsylvania. In 1985, he took a bold step by starting Central Penn Roofing, driven by a vision to provide exceptional roofing services.

Early in his career, Grandpa Mattern discovered the innovative Duro-Last roof system, leading him to become a certified contractor. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a long and successful association with Duro-Last, a relationship that continues to define our company today. By 1994, as the business grew, Andy Ney and Andy Mattern, the son and son-in-law of Grandpa Mattern, assumed greater roles and rebranded the company to A&A Contracting, Inc.

The next generation of leadership came with Mackenzie Ney, who, after many summers of hands-on experience and earning a degree in Business Management, proudly stepped into the role of Owner, continuing the legacy of excellence established by his predecessors.
