COMMERICAL ROOFING SYSTEMS

Duro-Last headquarters, the home of the word's best roof

As the leading commercial roofing contractor in central Pennsylvania, we feel an immense responsibility to offer the best commercial roofing system to our customers. Back in 1985, Grandfather Ney encountered a new roofing system he’d never heard of before, and that was Duro-Last. We are grateful every day that he chose to embark on his roofing journey with a white single-ply membrane.

What is Duro-Last?

Duro-Last, the world's best roof

In a snapshot, Duro-Last is a single-ply PVC membrane that is the best choice for any flat or low-sloped roof. The roof system boasts easy installation, extreme durability, and can be installed without disrupting business. The Duro-Last membrane is watertight, resistant to chemicals, fire, high winds, and is highly reflective. If that isn’t enough, it is low maintenance as well.

Duro-Last offers a full roof system that includes edge metal, metal roofing, drainage products, fasteners, plates, insulation, daylighting, and more.

The Details:

  • The Duro-Last Roof Membrane is available in 40, 50 and 60 mil thickness.
  • It is a PVC film laminated to both sides of a reinforcement fabric (weft-inserted scrim).
  • PVC Film – Proprietary thermoplastic PVC formulation of resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, biocides, flame retardants, and U.V. absorbents.
  • Scrim – An 18 x 14 polyester fabric construction with weft insertion, composed of 840 x 1000 denier threads, provides superior tear and puncture resistance. The polyester thread is treated to prevent wicking.
  • Membrane Colors – White, tan, gray, dark gray and terra cotta.

What does Custom-Fabrication mean?

In short, it means that the roof is carefully measured and then the membrane is custom made to fit those specific roof measurements. In a traditional rolled good system, every section of the roof pieced together on site. In a prefabricated system, up to 85% of the seams are completed in a factory-controlled environment before the roof membrane is delivered to the job site. Why does that matter? A Duro-Last prefabricated system dramatically reduces the potential for roof leaks while being faster, quieter, and easier to install. The system offers less maintenance and more reliable roof performance for years to come.
